Rangers Will Honor Winter Classic Beating Victim

Courtesy of Bob’s Blitz:

The New York Rangers, who have been all over supporting Neal Auricchio — the Purple Heart Award winner who was attacked by a group outside Geno’s in Philadelphia following the NHL’s Winter Classic on January 1 — will honor the Iraqi vet.

Neal, who works as a policeman for the Woodbridge Police Department in New Jersey, will be recognized by the team at Madison Square Garden on February 27th as the Blueshirts take on the Devils.

There’s no team in the league that does this type of thing better than the New York Rangers.  They always find the right way to honor their fans.  And, obviously, the Garden of Dreams foundation does more work for underprivileged young people and the needy in general than we probably even know about.
